We can learn how
to visit heaven while we are still alive on earth. Jesus Christ, the
living Word of God makes it possible for us to visit heaven.
All Christians have the right and privilege of visiting heaven. Our God is holy and He will not allow sin and unrighteousness in His presence.
We are entitled to come before the throne of God because we have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus. 1John 1:7
Our Father, God loves to have His children visit Him.
That's a good question. Psalms 24:3-5 gives us a good clue.
First, we need to accept Jesus into our heart. Forgive everyone and any negative thing we are holding in our heart. Like Psalms 24 says above, our hands and heart must be clean.
We need to be serving God with our whole self, not the things of this world.
WARNING: Don't try to visit heaven, if you have not made Jesus the Lord and savior of your life. You will be opening yourself up to many dark and dangerous things.
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is a holy God. He will not allow unrighteousness into His presence.
Accepting Jesus into our heart cleanses us from all unrighteousness. It opens the door for us to visit heaven.
Unforgiveness is a sin and we need to come before the Lord with a
clean heart. The gospels of Matthew and Mark both talk about forgiving.
We need to love God and serve Him with our whole heart. Put no other gods before the one true living God.
"Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
And the second, like it, is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31
The foundation is laid: we're a Christian serving God with no unforgiveness in our heart.
Now, how do we visit heaven while we're still alive? There are three steps that are familiar to Christians.
We need to spend regular time with the Lord. Come into God's presence
with praise and worship. Keep worshiping and wait in His presence. He
is faithful; He sees our hearts.
What does the scripture say about heaven?
The best tip for how to visit heaven is to spend regular time with the Lord. Read and meditate on the Word of God. Pray regularly and make God a priority.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33
He is so worthy, tell Him about it. Psalms 100 is one of my favorite scriptures.
"Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing
Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations."
Spend time in God's presence. His
timing may be different from what we think it should be. We just have to
trust Him and wait for His timing.
"Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!" Psalms 27:14
It's up to Father God what He wants to show us and what He wants us to see.
There is so much to see and do in heaven. It's different for every person. God tailors our visits for our specific needs and desires.
Don't be disappointed if it's not big wonderous things in the beginning. Or it may be, it's all individual and up to God.
We may start out by just see colors or the Lord may take us places and show us things. To me the key is the overwhelming presence and peace of God.
It's unmistakable and we know we're there. Take it all in and wait, don't hurry.
For years when I was praying I would see things. I thought it was just visions. Not until I read Kim Robinson's book did I realize that I was actually in heaven.
How else could I see and swim in the river of life. How else could I visit the city of gold made for the martyrs? How else could I sit down leaning up against a big lion?
Thank God for His grace and mercy. Write down what we see or experience and by all means remain obedient.
Always be thankful. It is so awesome that God would take individual
time with us. We let Him know that we appreciate it. God wants us to
know how to visit heaven. It's important we thank Him for it.
"Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34
"Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise Your glorious name." 1 Chronicles 29:13
Write down what the Lord shows and tells us. Sometimes we get so caught up in everyday life and forget things. It's refreshing to go back thru a journal and remember what God has said and done for us.
“Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel, saying: ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you." Jeremiah 30:2
'Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.' Habakkuk 2:2
We have to be careful to obey any instruction the Lord has given us. Disobedience can close the gates of heaven.
'If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15
